Students who intend to apply for the Bachelor degree programs must have an earned high school diploma (and/or its academic equivalent) and be 18 years of age or older. Students who intend to apply for the Master degree programs must hold a four-year college degree (and/or its academic equivalent). Students who intend to apply for the Doctorate Degree program must held a master degree in related fields
Application deadline is a week before the semester start day. Please refer to Academic Calendar for admission. International students who need Visa must apply 2 weeks before the semester start day for necessary enrollment process.
Students who submitted all the required documents will be interviewed by one of academic personnel concerning personal faith, devotion for church ministry, academic capability and future plans.
Students who intend to apply in the middle of program need to prove all the previous academic achievements prior to application interview. Academic Dean will determine whether to accept those or not based on the interview. (see details on ¡°Transfer¡± section in catalog)
Auditors will be permitted to attend classes only with the consent of the Dean of Students' Affairs and the instructor giving the class. No credit can be granted to auditors toward any specific degree program.

An I-20 F-1 visa can be issued to qualifying international students in the Theology Program only. Chong Shin University in USA does not provide for a visa in the intensive English Language Program (ESL/IEP) at this time. Students must take a placement test before beginning the ESL program to assess proper placement within the program. There are separate fees associated with the ESL/IEP program. Students who do not have mastery of the English language prior to enrollment are to submit a TOEFL score of 500 in order to take all classes in English.
All international students who apply for the I-20 must have proof of financial stability in order to enroll at Chong Shin University in USA. International students can apply through the Admissions Office for all necessary paperwork or on-line at the school¡¯s web site.
Chong Shin University in USA is authorized under Federal Law to enroll non-Immigrant alien students. In order to study at Chong Shin University in USA, a foreign student must first obtain a student visa from their local U.S. Embassy or Consulate. In order to obtain a student visa, the student must first register at Chong Shin University in USA and provide the school with a completed I-20 Application, $125 non-refundable Registration Fee, and proof of financial support. Upon receiving the required documents, we will issue you a completed I-20 with an Acceptance Letter. You must then take the I-20 and SEVIS I-901 fee receipt to your local embassy or consulate with your supporting financial documents.
Before a U.S. Consul or Embassy will grant you a student visa, you must prove that you will have sufficient funds to meet all your expenses while studying the U.S. Unless you show a written evidence of having financial support for the entire time needed to complete your program, you will not be granted a student visa.
As of October 7, 2008 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and SEVIS have changed the policy for F-1 Visas, requiring a fee of $200 (SEVIS Form I-901 fee). You can pay at https://www.fmjfee.com/index.jhtml. This payment will have to be made before you attend your interview with the U.S. Consulate. The most recent Form I-20, Certificate of Eligibility of Nonimmigrant Student Status, issued by Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP)-approved school you plan to attend - Or
The most recent Form DS-2019, Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitor (J-1) Status, issued by the exchange visitor program you plan to participate in.
Students who wish to be conferred for bachelor degrees must 1) earn (and/or transfer) a minimum 120 credit units in each program during enrolled periods, 2) maintain 85% attendance and 3) achieved an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 (¡°C¡±).
Students who wish to be conferred for master degrees must 1) earn(and/or transfer) a minimum 48 credit units and graduate thesis in each program during enrolled periods except Master of Divinity for which students must earn(and/or transfer) a minimum 96 credit units including Biblical Language requirements and graduate thesis, 2) maintain 85% attendance and 3) achieved an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 (¡°C¡±).
Transferred credits cannot be more than half of minimum requirement for graduation in each program except Academic Deans approval.
